Disappointed by the original box art for my favorite movie, Lost in Translation, I made it a personal goal within myself to re-design the box cover. I was inspired by Japanese Designer, Tadanori Yokoo and his explosive, vibrant designs that utilized made and found imagery alongside collage. The process involved analog work consisting of drawing the characters in my favorite scenes, scanning them in, editing further in photoshop and illustrator, and collaging the elements together intuitively. This process was my attempt to do justice to a design I personally felt was lackluster in comparison to the overall message and visuals within the film.
